Is the 2nd single from the British soul singer and Grammy Award "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance of 2008, Adele. The song was released digitally in Ireland on January 12, 2008 and entered the Irish singles chart at #26 through download sales alone. Having received a physical release, the single then leaped 19 places to #7, where it peaked. On January 20, 2008, the single entered at #2 in the UK singles chart on downloads alone and was the 27th best selling single of 2008 in the UK, with over 280,000 sales. Is a song by the English alternative rock band Coldplay. It was written in 2005, by all 4 members of the band. Is a pop rock song co-written by British singer James Blunt, Sacha Skarbek and Amanda Ghost for Blunt's debut album "Back to Bedlam". It was released as the third single from the album in 2005. 8. Chasing Cars
Is a love song recorded by the 5 member alternative rock band Snow Patrol, from Northern Ireland and Scotland in 2005. It gained significant popularity in the U.S. after being featured on the popular TV medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Is a song performed and written by the 3 member English rock band Keane from their debut album of 2004. It reached #4 on the UK Singles Chart. Is a song written by OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder for the 5 member band's 2007 debut album Dreaming Out Loud. According to the band's MySpace site, the song "explores the personal pain of multiple relationships gone awry and the necessity of moving on". The song was the biggest radio airplay hit in the history of Top 40 radio in North America, with 10,331 plays in one week. The song charted strongly around the world, reaching number one in sixteen countries, including Australia, Austria, German, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, Egypt, Turkey, and the Netherlands, as well as staying #1 for 8 consecutive weeks on the U.S. Billboard's Pop 100. The song also reached the U.S. and UK top 3 and spent 13 weeks at #1 in Canada. It is #50 on the definitive list of the Billboard's Hot "All-Time" Songs from the chart's 1st 50 years. Is the first single song by the 4 member American hard rock supergroup, Audioslave from Los Angela, CA. The song was released in 2005 and topped the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for 7 weeks and the Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart for 4 weeks. It was used in the TV Scrubs series season six. 12. Breathe Me
In January 2006, Australian pop singer Sia released this song in the United States, and it became popular on alternative rock and alternative adult radio stations in early and mid spring, following its feature as the closing song in the series finale of the HBO drama Six Feet Under. 14. Always On Your Side
Is a song written by the American singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow. It was released as the 2nd single off her Wildflower album in 2005. While the original album version features only herself on lead vocals, the radio version is a duet with British musician Sting and recieved a Grammy Award nomination in 2007 as Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals. The song debuted at #35 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 8 weeks, her third highest debut ever. The single also peaked in the top 20 of the UK airplay chart, while the single debuted and peaked at #8. Is a song by British singer-songwriter Dido, released as the lead single from her second album Life for Rent on September 2003. "White Flag" is the biggest hit of Dido's career. 18. Not Fair
Is the second single recorded by Lily Allen for her second studio album. The single's was officially released on 19 February 2009 and as a digital download on (iTunes) 20 March. It was released the same day as the filming of the video and climbed the charts, still being in the top 10 in June. That makes it the longest charting single in history breaking records. It also broke records on the 101.9 Fox Rate The Hits charts being between 10 - #1 for 5 Months. 19. The Man Who Can't Be Moved
Is the second single from the 3 member Irish band The Script. The song was released on July 25, 2008 and was used heavily for the CBS show, Ghost Whisperer during its fourth season. This song was their debut single in the United States, reaching #15 on thee U.S. Billboard "Hot Adult Top 40 Tracks. It gained airplay on multiple radio stations. On July 27, 2008 the song entered the UK Singles Chart at #30 and peaked at #2. On its third week on the chart, the song move up from #72 to #19 in New Zealand. 20. Amarantine (Everlasting)
Is a single by the Irish musician Enya, taken from the album of the same name. The word means "everlasting" or "immortal". The single was released in certain regions in Novembder 2005 and in other regions in December 2005. It peaked at #12 on the U.S. Billboard, Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks & #10 on the Hot Single Sales.
